We offer two pregnancy classes a week:
Saturday 11-12.30pm and Thursdays 4.15 -5.15pm
The classes are taught by Monika who has more than 10 years of experience in teaching holistic yoga for pregnancy. She empowers women to trust their bodies and natural ability to birth. In this class you can connect with other prenatal women while tuning into your own breath, body and your baby. We focus on opening the hips, relieving tension in the shoulder mantle, creating familiarity with conscious breathing and vocal toning and cultivating awareness of the muscles involved in natural birth. The class finishes with 20 min relaxation.
Cost: $23 per class or $185 for ten classes, yoga mats are provided free of charge.
Realizing the importance of the support of the partner during pregnancy and especially during birth, we also offer
Active Birth Workshop for couples where the partners are encouraged to understand how to support the birthing mother with confidence and sensitivity. This awareness and presence can lessen the requirement for medical interventions. Calm and flexibility ease the birthing process, reducing pain and increasing the joy of giving birth.
This workshop provides an opportunity for couples to nurture their family intimacy and enhance their awareness of, and confidence in pregnancy, labour and birth. We will cover gentle stretches for pregnancy, learn about different types of breath and birthing positions for stages of natural birth. Partners will be encouraged to understand how to best support the birthing mum with confidence and sensitivity through acupressure points, their presence and breath awareness. Suitable for 2nd and 3rd trimester, not only for the first pregnancy.
