Women’s Circle — The Ocean In Me
Saturday 14 September, 6.30-8.30pm
Entry: Koha (by donation)
with Rachael Lowe
Women gathering in circles with a sacred center is ancient, the oldest form of social interaction. The fire was in the center and women told stories, worshiped their goddesses and gods, and passed down the traditions and wisdom that kept them alive and healthy.
We gather at the full moon. It is the time of the month when creativity, fertility, and mystery are heightened. Many women instinctively look for ways to connect with others, a time when the feminine energy of Earth is at its fullest. Many believe that the lunar cycle directly impacts a woman’s emotions and that of the energies of the collective feminine unconscious. A full moon allows us the opportunity to have the clarity of emotion while tapping into the collective intelligence and experience of the feminine.
Our July gathering will be no different. We will journey into our body — exploring its rivers and tributaries through the archetype of The Great Teacher (within us, around us); ancient Egyptian myth; movement practices; guided visualisation; ritual and feminine-centered sharing with each other. We will explore to reveal where in the depth of us we meet our highest expression of ourselves, our primal creatrive force. We might encounter where in our lives our natural flow has become dammed up, where our once surging river has ebbed. We will support each other in reaching new understandings and horizons.
